1856 Scottish Landscape (
Damage: Smoke Damage
Simple and satisfying repair. Smoke damage leaves a dark residue on the painting and a sticky feeling on the frame. The painting was removed to reach the painting edges, cleaned, and restored.
The Frame was cleaned and needed very minor touch up.
Happy owners lives in Ottawa, Ontario
Trophy frame (mid 1800s - judging from the back of the frame)
Artwork can be replaced
The frame is seasoned with an aging wood patina but in very good condition. If the Artwork is to be changed, I recommend a full restoration to give the frame another 150 years.

Gold Finish wish red velvet edge (1940)
Painting was damaged (unknown painter)
The frame was in immaculate condition, however, the painting was in a bad shape and sadly could not be restored. This project has no other photos because it was before we started documenting and recording our work.
The frame is now in Mississauga - Ontario.
